My agony and Delhi Police (A true story)

REWARD ON SEWA BY WAHEGURU JI JUST ON NEXT DAY;

Since end of October 2011, I was getting some mails from UK that a group wanted to help the widows of 1984. They wanted me to go to widow colony and find out their basic requirements. I had assured them to do this sewa with open heart but by the time I got a final mail, I was in troubles by residents of this widow colony of Tilak Vihar in west Delhi. Their behavior had so irritated me that I refused to do any sewa for this colony. They didn’t persue me but as a friend asked me the reasons to refuse as earlier I had assured them. I briefed them, they asked me in detail but I didn’t provide any detail but I struggled with myself and in the end humanity won. I decided to do sewa without any discrimination. There could be some members from family of those who troubled me or their relatives but when the sewa is performed, it’s done in the name of Waheguru ji, like a judge who has to do justice in his verdict. Ultimately I made up my mind to do this sewa again and informed the group in UK by sending a conformation mail. They were surprised again and asked me if I am really prepared and I sent my conformation again.

One young Gursikh arrived and called me on 20^th morning. By that time I was in trouble again as the Police officer had called me to report to police post next day. I had no time to work in widow colony. I approached Joginder singh – the investigating officer to give me sometime as I had to work there till 24^th but he refused.

Then I called the Gursikh from UK to visit the same day on 20^thDEC. so that we may do some work and rest to do day after next on 22^nd Dec.as I had to attend the court on 21^st on Dec. We spent 5-6 hours in widow colony and met some of them, interviewed and collected information on their life style. Then next day was off but I attended the Court. Here I saw the miracle. The Police Officer (who was fully prepared to see my son behind bars), faced trouble himself in court. This way my services to humanity in the court of almighty were accepted and I was saved from all troubles. This gave me sigh of relief. I thanked Waheguru ji and started to do sewa once again more cheerfully till 24^th Dec.evening.

I hereby disclose major finding on my conversation with widows there that they never got any donation/help from any leader in last 27 years. Whatever cash I paid to some of them on behalf of sangat of UK, they were so glad that they even thanked me afterwards also by calling me on my phone. So I request everyone there in foreign countries to kindly stop funding any organization/leader who collect funds in the name of widows. It’s not distributed there.

I was suitably rewarded immediately by Waheguru ji in the Court as I had made up my mind to do the sewa without any discrepancy or discrimination among foes or friends. So please keep on doing sewa with open heart equally wherever you do.

Black sheeps to defame Delhi Police;

On 20^th Nov. 2011, I was waiting for my son to return home but as the night was being passed and it had been almost midnight and whereabouts of my son could not be found. I started calling his friends but no one was aware of his whereabouts. I kept on calling till 00.30 or 1.00 am but after that I cursed myself and my son also and went to bed in the hope of his safe return.

My wife could not sleep and opened the window to look into the street and kept waiting for his return. I called her several times but she didn’t respond to my calls. Something was there which didn’t allow both of us to sleep. Though I was half asleep but was awoken on every disturbance.

At 4 o’clock in the morning, my phone rang. I immediately received the call which was made by a stranger. She just spoke for a while and said me to talk my son. He informed me that he is in custody of Police and arrested as his bike was collided with a road side car and after a heated argument, a scuffle was broke out and he was badly beaten but police have arrested him. And the phone was disconnected before I could ask him the location of police station. I called back at same number. It was received by a lady and when I asked her about the call made to me, she confirmed and replied that my son is arrested by police at Tilak Vihar Police out-post in Tilak Nagar area of west Delhi.

My wife who woke up heard every word and started weaping, I condoled her and left for the said police station in a few minutes. I reached in five minutes to Tilak Vihar Police out-post as the road was empty and distance was not much from my residence. I went straightway to the incharge’s room and gave my introduction that I am the Genral Secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) for Delhi. Before that I could say anything more, the in-charge Sub-inspector Sahdev tomar burst open upon me and in abusive language held us responsible for crimes and irregularities in Delhi. It was all unexpected as I was supposed to talk with an officer of Delhi police but he was talking in filthy language? Ignoring his mis-behavior with me, I enquired him about my son. He replied that he is under custody and that my son had stabbed a person under influence of alcohol. I requested him to meet my son, he refused. Then I called some other persons known to me and persuaded the in-charge to allow me to see my son. He then allowed. I went to the lock up of above said police post. I found my son chain-cuffed there. He was badly beaten and crying in pain but these policemen didn’t provide him any medical help, though he was taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital (Arm and leg cuffed in chains) for his MLC but his injuries were not disclosed before Doctors. He was shown under influence of alcohol and only alcohol test was done and then he was brought back.

In inquiry of the incident, my son told me that at about 10.30 pm, he was passing through this widow colony area and heading to his friend’s home who was waiting for him to have dinner with him. He also committed that he had taken alcohol before that as it was his off day being Sunday on that un-fateful day. When he was crossing through these dark street, his motorbike was collided with a road side parked vehicle (car) whose door was opened all of sudden and he couldn’t stop his bike and crashed with that opened door. Then the occupants of that car who were having some alcohol in that parked car, stepped out of car and a heated argument started which sooner turned into a scuffle. All of those four person attacked my son with punches, he fell down. It happened in front of the Police out-post. On seeing the four persons in scuffle and hear their voices, the other neighbors too arrived and without asking any question started kicking and punching my son. Someone hit him with an iron-rod in his waste, some people pelted stones also. Then someone tried to stab my son with a small dagger but he luckily escaped and someone else among the mob got hurt. When they found that their own person is injured, in revenge they brutally started beating my son who became unconscious due to brutally beaten. The Police arrived which always arrive after the matter is over though it happened within 30 to 50 meters from police post.

Assistant Sub-inspector Joginder Singh reached on the spot and picked up my unconscious son and carried him to Police post with help of other cops. This was narrated to me by Joginder Singh himself at the police post. I thanked him for his valor and timely saving life of my son. He further disclosed that my son was over drunk and couldn’t stand on his feet. On the contrary I asked the Police Inspector if my son was over drunk and couldn’t stand on his feet then how could he hold a dagger and stab someone not known to him? He had no answer. He disclosed that the injured person and my son were not known to each other and had no enmity but he couldn’t explain any motive of stabbing a stranger?

I also asked the in-charge Sahdev Tomar of the reason not informing the family of the accused as this is mandatory to inform the family of the accused taken under custody or on arrest? He had no answer but was cursing the lady who informed. I didn’t disclose the identity of that kind person who called me and gave information of arrest of my son.

Now I called a person already known to Sahdev tomar to request him for safe release of my son and to make a deal with him. He agreed to release my son but conditionally. He said after accepting the desired amount (Which was not settled by then) he will weaken the section which will help my son to be acquitted from Court very soon but he shall not free him. On this condition I refused to pay him any bribe.

I called some acquaintances of me in Delhi administration and tried to get the help of some high ups. In few minutes the Police officer got call from some high ups from Delhi administration to handle the case truthfully and not to frame my son in any fabricated case. This shocked the Police officer who assured the concerned high official but ignored to follow any such suggestion because the injured was a resident of the block across the road of said Police post and many influential people were there to pressurize him. This is actually a widow colony of 1984 Sikh genocide, the youths who were neglected after holocaust without parents had become alcoholic and druggist. Many of them are working as touts to Police and earn through Police. The Police also get some doors opened through information provided by them to earn smoothly from anti-social elements of the area. It’s a nexus working there. So the Police officer was either under pressure and influence of those touts or deliberately wanted to extort money from me by fabricating my son in false case on a concocted story of attacking a stranger without any motive of stabbing. The Sikh leaders of the area who were known to me by name, came there and were pleased to meet me and requested the in-charge to do justice with my son as my service to Sikh panth are beyond any explaination and that recently Amitabh is booked in Australia because of my efforts as I revealed his involvement in 1984 Sikh genocide. Though they appreciated my efforts and were prasing me but this actually provoked the in-charge and he told me that he knows my services but I shall see how I shall face the hardship now. It was an indirect threat which proved true in the evening itself. I have no evidence to prove it otherwise this issue would have turned political but it's true. Only one Sikh person from ZEE TV knows this, he wanted my permission to speak to in-charge on this issue but i stopped him as my priority was to get my son released and i didn't want myself to be involved in any fruitless discussion. He warned me that i may have to face more troubles by such tainted police officials if i continue to reveal on Amiatbh in future too but i just ignored it as i couldn't run from my responsibilities and dedication to my duties to panth. Now the in-charge of police post was sure that he is not going to be bribed so on some or other pretext, he kept on my son chain cuffed in lock-up till evening. By that time he got several calls from high officials to do justice with my son as the case was of a roadrage but he ignored and didn’t register the case in roadrage, loot and causing injuries to my son by known persons of the locality but he saved them. Somehow he was compelled to release my son but he booked my son under section 324 of IPC. He agreed to release him and called me inside his chamber to inform me.

I asked him the reason of not taking any action against the culprits who attacked my son and said that despite my several requests throughout the day, he has not given an ear to my appeals that my son is framed on false evidences and that it was a case of roadrage and he should book the other party also but he ignored. Now after release I shall complain to higher authorities of Delhi administration, human rights and to the Commissioner of Delhi Police about all these irregularities and upon chaining my son in custody, violating the orders of Supreme Court (I made a video of my son chaincuffed in lock up) which has issued orders against handcuff and moreover my son is never caught before this and that he is a graduate and a computer savvy employed in IT sector and that he had no right to handcuff/chaincuff him in his leg and arm.

To my horror, he threatened me by saying that if I complain about him to high-ups, he shall change the section imposed and frame my son under section 307 IPC in attempt of murder and that then he will be behind bars for several months and shall not be easy for me to get him released soon. His earlier threat given to me was proved and his intention was clear now. There was no other option for me as my son was complaining of severe headache on deaf ears since morning and I had to get him free first and get him medical treatment so I just thanked the in-charge and assured him to keep mum forever. He released my son. I just walked out of Police post without asking anyone of belongings of my son whether confiscated by police before arrest of my son in his semi-unconsciousness/ unconsciousness or robbed by the attackers residing opposite the said police post, his branded Mont blanc wrist watch, his Nokia N73 mobile or his wallet with about two thousand five hundred rupees (2500/-)in it but preferred to take him home as my wife was there sobbing in her hopes to see her son and to think over the loss afterwards.

After I reached home on 21^st Nov 11, I decided to complain to the high up police officials of Delhi police and the Human Rights Organization. I typed a complaint on my computer and sent it to one of my relative for counter check to approve it as there were chances of writing any provocative words against anyone in fit of anger. It was approved but expressed his feared of enmity with Police and conveyed the fear to me. I discussed it with my wife on phone who was already terrorized by misbehavior and on threat of framing of her son in attempt of murder case so she refused to send this complain to Commissioner of police. My relatives too expressed fear of enmity and stood beside her and told me to have patience and said that in future a way shall be found to compromise with the other party who are also Sikhs but this is proved a wrong decision.

Next day I went to police station for release of the bike which was seized by police, they refused and replied that they have sent the FIR to Court and I can get it released from Court only though it was an attempt of harassement to me as the SHO of the area disclosed to me that the seizure of bike was of no use for them. It took me few days before I made all efforts to get it released at police station but when I became sure of it to be released by Court, I went to Court and filed the application on 1^st of December in metropolitan Court at Tis Hazari where the FIR was sent. The Magistrate was very kind, he called me and asked me the reason of seizure of the bike by police, I narrated truthfully the whole incident and presented the copy of the information given to police requesting search of lost items and in which I had clearly mentioned the case as roadrage and informed the learnt court that my son is a well qualified person employed with a reputed IT sector company. He is not mad to stop his bike, park it and then stab a stranger without any motive. He ordered to release the bike under SUPURDGI or in my custody after furnishing a bond of Rs. 20,000/- (twenty thousand rupees). On producing the order of release my bike was released by concerned officials at Tilak Nagar Police station, west Delhi.

I was in misunderstanding by words of Sub-inspector –the chowki in-charge Sahdev Tomar that if I keep mum, he shall be kind enough to my son and shall not try to spoil his carrier but I was wrong. I had trusted a police officer who was unreliable.

He again tried to find evidences against my son by calling and the friends of my son, pressurized them to give an affidavit that my son had the intention to attempt on life of injured person whereas they were strangers to each other. I never approached him on this issue but I was assured by those friends of my son that they shall not give any statement under pressure against my son as my son is very popular among his friend’s circle and helpful to all in their needs in life. The investigating officer Joginder singh (A Jatt not a Sikh) could never collect any evidence in Tilak Nagar locality against my son despite using all tactics.

After about one month on 19^th Dec’11, i was called by this Joginder singh (the IO) and demanded to send my son to the police station as he wanted to arrest him and produce him before the magistrate as the section of offence was changed by him. He had earlier imposed section 324IPC against my son of stabbing in scuffle but the doctors at a private clinic had mentioned the wound as gravious in nature though I had got the information earlier from some of my acquaintances from same locality that the other party was spreading messages of change of section and framing my son under more effective sections. I requested the IO Joginder singh that he may file his documents/report in the Court and that my son will surrender in court but he insisted me by giving me a false assurance that I should keep the assurities ready to furnish the bails in Court as he shall simply show the arrest in papers and produce my son in court. No doubt my son was not harassed this time but this section 326 IPC was non-bailable and not easy to get bail in court but the Magistrate was very kind to my son when he saw a smart educated decent looking young man who had already faced hardship by police and was hurt in scuffle being fabricated by police, he studied the report thouroughly and asked the IO Joginder singh if any action was taken against those who were involved in roadrage and injured my son as medical records were presented by me with all the records of CT Scan, X-rays and treatment given to my son after his release from police custody which clearly stated the Traumetic head injury and bed rest for seven days recommended and he had to take leave from his company. This satisfied him and he asked IO Joginder singh about the action against the other party, he had nothing to answer as they had already made a big mistake by not arresting them or questioning them. The learnt judge also asked the IO if my son and the injured were known to each other, he replied as – NO. Then Judge again asked IO if he could state the motive of stabbing a stranger, there was no motive and IO denied to it. Then Judge next asked him if the other person was stabbed by my son without any motive, in that case would have been sent to mental asylum for treatment which doesn’t appear to him true, there was no answer. The judge was not satisfied by the allegations made by prosecution and granted bail to my son on personal bonds and furnishing an assurity of Rs.20,000/- (twenty thousand). I felt a sigh of relief.

The agony is not over yet as the charge-sheet is not filed yet. It may take a few months more. Till that the police can harass us more so I have decided to report the matter to high police officials and to bring matter into notice of commissioner of Police, Delhi and request him to file a FIR against those miscreants residing opposite Police post of Tilak Vihar under Police station Tilak Nagar of west Delhi as they are responsible for roadrage, looting the belongings of my son if police has not confiscated and for brutally beating my son, for trying to stab my son but to defend themselves they placed the dagger in hands of my un-conscious son as they had hurt their own person, for misguiding police by false statements to fabricate my son in attempt of murder by stabbing a stranger, to injure my son by hitting on his head and ribs etc. though one month has already passed but due to black-mailed by concerned police officer who has the case of investigation in his hands, I was compelled to keep mum but how long? Now no option is left before me other then to reveal the truth before high ups and to bring the matter in their kind notice to save myself and my family from this trauma of atrocities. I shall continue pasting the proceedings here as I am living in capitol of India not in any isolated remote village of India.

The commissioner of Police is requested to clear if i should shift from this area or he gives guaranty of my family of safety in future from any fabrication of false case against any member of my family as i am residing in this area for the last 20 years and there is not a single complaint in these years against me or any other member of my family but if enmity goes on and justice is not done, i shall have to shift outside Delhi.

The justice should prevail as stated in Gurbani “ Truth is higher but higher still is truthful living”.
